Will cited material be identified by Unicheck as a plagiarism?

Can I check my submission for plagiarism before turning the paper to the teacher?
What is Unicheck?
Unicheck is a similarity checker. It verifies the originality of the submitted text or document and delivers a detailed similarity report to the teacher/instructor.
Does Unicheck automatically grade my submission?
No, Unicheck does not grade your submissions automatically. Grading is done by the teacher/instructor manually. The exception would be only if the institution or department has enabled auto-grading, based on the similarity score. Even in this scenario, teachers are responsible for reviewing the auto-grade and updating it, if necessary. Auto-grading is enabled if upon submission, any student in the course, in a minute or so, receives a grade.
Will cited material be identified by Unicheck as a plagiarism?
No. Unicheck identified properly cited material and does not mark it as a similarity. If the instructor has allowed students to see a similarity score/report, a student can open the report and review the material, which was identified as citations (marked in blue color):

-
Blue - indicates citation. These areas do not affect similarity score. APA, MLA, Turabian, Harvard, Chicago styles are supported. Clicking on any of the citations in the report, brings up the list of all identified citations in the submission.
-
Violet - indicates references. These areas do not affect similarity score.

How do I view instructor’s annotations?
When new comments are added, a student will see a notification with a number of new comments added. Open the report to see if there are any new comments:
Click Commenting mode to view the comments. Clicking on a comment will scroll the document automatically to the place of the teacher’s annotation in the document.
Can I reply to the instructor’s comments?
You can reach out to the teacher using Canvas standard communication tools. You cannot reply to teacher’s comments right inside the Unicheck report.
Can I view the final plagiarism report?
If the teacher has made similarity results visible, then a student can view plagiarism report for his/her submissions (it might take a minute or so to generate the report).
